23rd March 2025 -- Event Bookings have Closed
Due to a number of late withdrawals, wifcon.asia will proceed as a "mini" WiFCon. We are no longer doing the tabletop miniatures event, and the open boardgames has been scaled down, and we have shifted venues to Mr Foxx in Pattaya. We are no longer accepting bookings for the event as the smaller venue will not allow us to have extra tables.
We plan to run a much larger event in 2026. Watch this space for more details.

24th January 2025 -- A bit more about the venue
We have a bit more information and some photos of the venue. The room that we have hired for wifcon.asia has room for about 6 or so games tables with comfortable seating and room to spare. See below for a few photos.
There is also an outdoor seating area for those who want to take a break from the games tables and take a drink, have some food or just enjoy the scenery.
On the subject of food, the room is situated above an Italian pizzeria, who also do a range of western and Thai food. The bruschetta is quite good.

We have changed to a venue that's a bit closer to central Pattaya, and should work OK for most attendees. We have also finalised pricing for the event and we will add a booking form shortly.

We are just waiting on a few confirmations from the venue before we announce finalised prices and start taking bookings. Please bear with us while we finish these negotiations. We should have something finalised early next week.

We have a venue!!!
The venue we have chosen will fit up to 6 WiF sized tables. Of course if we have a large influx of travellers then we might need to find an additional space or a larger conference room.
The venue is a meeting room above Dom Pizza which is a mixed French / Italian / Thai restaurant in the Phra Tam Nak district just south of Pattaya. The venue has 12 rooms for accommodation on site ( .
We're not taking bookings yet, while we sort out payment methods.
25th October 2024
Everyone will want to visit Moo Deng while in Thailand, especially kids. She can be seen at Khao Kheow Open Zoo which is not too far from Pattaya.
I have plans to run a beginners' game of World in Flames at the event if I get sufficient interest. Use the expressions of interest form on the home page if you are new to WiF and want to be included.
4th October 2024
We are fairly close to booking a final venue for the convention, we are just conducting some negotiations with various venue and accommodation options.
Mr. Foxx Board Game Cafe will be one of the sponsors of the event, and will run the boardgame competition on the first weekend.
Don Harris the WiF VASSAL module designer will be in attendance and will run a face-to-face VASSAL game using his module at the convention. Anyone is welcome to join. Please indicate on the expressions of interest form if you would prefer to play this way. There will be a large screen monitor at the convention to view the VASSAL game as it happens.
